Our Story

Located in beautiful Southern California, The Dancing Chuppah was conceived out of our adoration for the beautiful Jewish wedding ceremony. The pages of the Tenach describe both the ancient and prophetic image the chuppah represents, (also spelled chupah, huppah, huppa, chupa, hupa) as the bride and bridegroom share their nuptials during the holy ceremony. The centuries old wedding tradition is a reminder each time a Jewish wedding takes place of the eternal promise G-d gave His people Israel.

The Dancing Chuppah caters to all branches of Judaism: Reform, Conservative, Orthodox; Messianic and Interfaith wedding ceremonies. We will consult with you in person, over email or telephone and discuss with you the details that will help us design and create the most beautiful spiritual chuppah. One that I hope you will feel the power of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) around you, as you and your bashert (soulmate) stand beneath the wedding canopy. This meaningful cloth can be passed down as an heirloom, or hung in your new home, a reminder of the vows you make in front of G-d and your special guests.

We create custom-designed Chuppah with the concept of Hiddur Mitzvah in mind. Since there is no specific halacha (Jewish law) for chuppot, the design possibilities are endless. You can provide us with your own photographs, fabric, designs or color scheme, or you can allow The Dancing Chuppah to design and create the dream wedding canopy just for you based on our consultation.
